Gasway Services has raised more than £12,000 for Walking With the Wounded; a military charity which supports disadvantaged veterans who have served in the armed forces and their families.

David Metcalf, Sales and Marketing Manager at Gasway said: “This is the second year that we’ve supported the charity and we’re delighted to be a sponsor. Together we’ve raised more than £12,000 and we couldn’t be prouder.

“Walking With the Wounded is a fantastic charity. It does so much to help support veterans who need support the most. For a marketing manager this is not the sort of thing we do every day.”

For the past 11 years Walking With the Wounded has been supporting vulnerable veterans through empowering them to regain their independence, thrive and contribute in our communities.

Last year the charity delivered over 3000 mental health therapy sessions and helped more than 600 people secure employment.

Tom Grimshaw, Junior Relationship Manager at Walking With the Wounded said: “It’s great to have Gasway here supporting us, they’ve come here time and time again. We work closely with Gasway to get veterans into employment and they’re really supportive with what they do. It’s brilliant to work together.”
